Painting an ambulance for Ukraine

Monday, January 16, 2023

Ukraine | We would love to share a beautiful project by the foundations Paint a Future (run by Hetty van der Linden) and The Sails of Freedom (Dutch: Zeilen Van Vrijheid. All throughout 2022 and beyond they have worked together on a much-needed project to support Ukraine.

Since March 1st 2022, the two foundations have delivered 99 ambulances, 1 fire truck, 30 support vehicles and 200 tonnes of medical supplies. In times like these, such support is invaluable.

And if that is not amazing enough, they invited the students of the Amsterdam International Community School (AICS) to paint an ambulance using Amsterdam markers and spray paint. This ambulance will be delivered to the children’s hospital in Kyiv. It is painted in bright colours and carries loving messages to make it less scary to the children at the hospital.

In the images below you can see the ambulance being painted, as well as after it was delivered in Kyiv.
