Art Week Zimbabwe: a partnership between IMBA International and the Royal Talens Foundation

During 10 days it was all about art and creativity  in the rural community Seke, Zimbabwe. Different activities took place to encourage Zimbabwean youth to explore and follow their dreams towards a happy, secure and healthy future.

The main activity was a 700 m2 MURAL painted by Dutch artists Karski & Beyond and nearly 150 local children.

In groups of 20, every day they started with a sketching session inspired by their thoughts for the future. They were asked to draw their dream version of themselves that they could later that day colour in on larger - than - real graffitis. Karski & Beyond assisted with the outlines! To complement the drawings of the children the grafittí duo also embellished the wall with work of their own.

Aditional graffiti workshops were given to a total of 400 children.

Thanks to this partnership children and youngsters were inspired to express themselves artistically which resulted in a great journey.
