In this blog we would like to highlight a lovely foundation in The Netherlands that we support with art materials: Stichting Kunstnest. They give children from 1 to 12 years old the opportunity to express their creativity without any added pressure. In doing so, the children improve their social, emotional and motor skills.

We would love to share a beautiful project by the foundations Paint a Future (run by Hetty van der Linden) and The Sails of Freedom (Dutch: Zeilen Van Vrijheid. All throughout 2022 and beyond they have worked together on a much-needed project to support Ukraine.

Jeff Olson is a US based artist residing in Seattle, Washington. Moreover, he is the Director of Art Education for Royal Talens North America. We are very fortunate and proud that he supports the values and mission of the Royal Talens Foundation.

Last Sunday, a really beautiful day was had with Stichting Tekenen voor Kinderen (the Drawing for Kids Foundation), in the Amersfoort Zoo.

The Rembrandt Experience was the prize of our painting contest during the Year of Rembrandt in 2019. After three years of Covid restrictions, the event could finally take place in 2022 and provided a sneak peek for the art auction happening in 2023.

For the past two years we have been working together with Kings of Colors alongside Jan-Henk van Ieperen; founder, creative director and curator of Kings of Colors.

The American artist Gregory Burns, one of the Royal Talens US ambassadors, wanted to do something for the Ukrainian refugees. And it turned into a beautiful project! Together with the American embassies in Berlin, Prague and Serbia, he organized art workshops for Ukrainian youths and children. The Royal Talens Foundation happily donated all the materials <3 Below you see some photo’s from the workshops.

For years now, the Royal Talens Foundation has supported the projects of Hetty van der Linden. First Paint a Future and now Sail a Future. Sail a Future is a beautiful collaboration with Sail Harlingen, which took place from 14 to 17 July. Sail a Future is a project where children from all over the world paint on the sails of tall ships. These ships entered the harbour of Harlingen (The Netherlands) on 15 and 16 July. But they are not just painted: on the sails you can see the dreams and wishes of the children regarding the oceans and our planet. The Foundation has supplied all the materials for this and previous events, and will continue to do so for the years to come!
